Walk-ins are welcome at Tast’s ground-floor Pinya bar and kitchen

Pinya, Folre and Enxaneta: these are the three levels of the Tarragona-born ‘tower’ performance Castells, and the names of the floors at authentic Catalan restaurant Tast. Pinya is the strong and stable base, or the street-level bar and kitchen; Folre is the middle part of the structure, the second-floor restaurant, and Enxaneta is at the top, reserved for fine dining.

Walk-ins are welcome downstairs, where you’ll find a little corner of Catalonia right here in Manchester. Experience the kind of buzzy Barcelona bar only the locals know about, with Tast’s selection of Catalan artisan beers, wines and cocktails to be enjoyed at the counter or at a table, chewing the fat, chewing the food...

Talking of which, our Tastet plates are a must for sharing with friends, as a light lunch or casual dinner, while enjoying a view of our open kitchen. Our Michelin-starred chef Paco Pérez came up with Tastets — a ‘small taste of food’ — to give you a true taste of Catalonia. Larger than a starter and smaller than a main, think four to six between two for an affordable ‘in’ to authentic Catalan cuisine.
