The clue is in the name.
At Sicilian NQ we pride ourselves on being Sicilian. Being Sicilian comes first. It certainly does for owner Carmen, who comes from Catania herself.
Catania is also the home of Mount Etna and the inspiration behind our best-selling arancino – filled with slow-cooked ragú and formed into the traditional volcano shape.
This passion for our heritage is why our menu is full of Sicilian recipes and dishes made the Sicilian way. We’re proud of the food of our little island and we import as many true Sicilian ingredients as we can.
From home-made pasta filled with ricotta and pistachio to the moreish panelle we serve, these dishes are Sicilian through and through – just like us. Yes, you can get pistachios anywhere, even the local supermarket, but the ones we use come from Bronte and they are known as ‘the emerald of Sicily’ for a reason.
Beautiful, brilliant and very precious – come and discover the Sicilian NQ difference for yourselves.
We are open for call and collect with 10% off menu prices from midday until 9pm Friday to Sunday and from 5pm – 9pm the rest of the week. We also sell a selection of home-made products such as pesto, pasta sauces, cocktails and limoncello as well as Sicilian wines, marinated olives, flour, biscuits and more.
We’ll be expanding this range and turning into a proper little Sicilian grocery store.
