What does Autumn taste like at Luisa’s?

Luisa’s new seasonal menu is full of feelgood dishes.

Autumn produce is the thing that takes the edge off dark evenings and plummeting temperatures. From earthy mushrooms to the silkiness of a perfect squash – we love these ingredients and we celebrate them in our new dishes – they’re just waiting for you to come and try them.

Starters like panelle autumno (clue’s in the name) which are beautiful chickpea fritters seasoned with sage and topped with toasted nuts and seeds and our soft, squidgily spreadable confit garlic cloves served with ciabatta are just the start of the autumn treats we have on our menu.

Other seasonal dishes at Luisa’s include a squash, pearl barley and borlotti bean soup – it’s as comforting as a cardi but this is strictly a cashmere knitwear vibe with the velvety softness of in-season squash at its best.

You’ll love our wild boar ragu, marinated and slow-cooked with Italian pale ale and served with hand cut pappardelle. It’s so rich and full of flavour it’s well worth every hour of cooking and preparation we put in – and that’s saying something.

As for our woodland mushrooms dish, it’s a forest frolic with pan-fried wild mushrooms on a white bean purée with kale and toasted pine nuts. You can’t beat being out in the countryside at this time of year and this meal captures that exactly.

Of course, we also have our signature Pasta Luisa dish on the menu. Enjoy the handmade tagliatelle and smooth, thick tomato sauce with slow-cooked beef brisket, meatballs or grilled vegetables for a traditional take on comfort cooking that just slips down.

And it wouldn’t be Luisa’s without hour 30-hour proved pizzas with all your favourite toppings. Our sourdough superstars made Luisa’s what it is today.

Come and indulge in some Italian seasonal cooking – Luisa’s will make you glad it’s Autumn.

And the new drinks menu with wines sourced from independent Italian vineyards and beers from Italian craft brewers will make you very glad indeed.
