Okay, I understand

Fancy some authentic Spanish food? Si si si! Madrid comes to Manchester in the form of La Bandera, which recently opened its specialist streetfood outlet in the Arndale Market South Side – the foodie destination of the moment.

Inspired by the vibrant street culture of Spain, La Bandera At The Market offers a casual dining experience – but even though the eats are cheap, they’re still top quality and you can expect the same high standards and attention to detail as at the original La Bandera Restaurante in Ridgefield.

There’s a focus on freshness, with all dishes made on site, and the menu changes every day to reflect the seasonal availability of ingredients. There are daily offers, “Plato Combinado” set meals, tapas specials and a paella of the day, with some big flavours and colourful creations.

Chef Alberto Ruiz Murillo comes with a wealth of experience and his tapas and pintxos are authentic, flavour-packed and look and taste delicious. Some of the small plates he’s been rustling up include Iberian pulled pork on paprika bread, fried squid with lemon aioli in a squid ink black brioche bun, braised pork cheeks slow-cooked in sherry sauce and traditional Spanish meatballs.

You can choose to take away your food or eat in the shared seating area – in which case there is specially curated red and white Rioja, beer and soft drinks to accompany your meal.

Open every day, 9am-6pm, be sure to pay a visit pronto!
