Culture and cocktails. What’s not to love?
And with Confidentials’ exclusive vouchers – pay £50, get £100 to spend – Gallery Lounge is an absolute must.
Gallery Lounge has a cool arty vibe with work from local artists everywhere you look.
The cocktails are pretty cool too with carefully curated creations like the Apple Pie Martini or the tequila and maple syrup marriage of Break The Wall. Or, if you prefer, get the bar staff to work their magic and create a bespoke cocktail just for you. There’s a good selection of wines too.
The menu is served until 9pm and is best known for the eponymous plates – so good Gallery Lounge put their name to them. It’s £14 for two different plates – you need to order two per person but they’re best for sharing.
Typical options include pressed ham hock with sourdough, smoked harissa houmous with olives and pitta breads or black and red rice with pink cabbage, diced mango and quinoa as well as grilled peppers and kimchi dressing.
Gallery Lounge is on Islington Wharf in Ancoats, the ideal neighbourhood hangout for whiling away lazy evenings by the canal.
