Okay, I understand

Quality steak, quality gin;
a beautiful space to enjoy it in

Tucked away beneath Glasgow Central Station, the first Alston takes its name from a forgotten village, its steak from the top one per cent of Scotch beef and its gin from some of the best producers in the UK.

Our Manchester restaurant offers exactly the same dedication to character and quality. You’ll find us nestled inside the Grade II-listed Corn Exchange - with our own entrance on Cathedral Street, stunning feature staircase and a bespoke interior inspired by our Edwardian location. Other features include an eye-catching mural by local street artist Tank Petrol, high-spec show kitchen and private dining room for up to twelve guests.

Our Tweed Valley beef is supplied by John Gilmour & Co Ltd, purveyor of premium meats since 1946, and aged for 35 days to reach optimum flavour. From fillet to sirloin and Chateaubriand to share, choose from a range of prime cuts; all served with chips, mash, vegetables or salad and your choice of butter or sauce.

Gins number over 60, spanning popular brands and award-winning local distilleries, and we’re the only bar in Manchester to offer small-batch artisan infusions; fourteen produced on site using seasonal products. With six distinctive flavour profiles, you’re sure to find one (or more) to suit.

Beef up your dining experience at Alston.
