Complete your family in 2023 with Adoption Counts

Giving things up. Taking things up. The New Year is often about making changes. But there is no change bigger than a new addition to your family. If you would like to welcome a child into your home and into your heart, please consider adoption in 2023.

Adoption Counts is your local adoption agency. It brings together the skills and expertise of five local authorities in Greater Manchester and Cheshire.

We work with families in Manchester, Stockport, Salford, Trafford and Cheshire East and the scale of our organisation means we are able to widen our scope to find adoptive parents and children who are just right for each other, creating family bonds that last a lifetime.

Enquiries are welcomed from in and around the region – that could be you in 2023.

When you adopt a child, you become their parent with all the legal rights and responsibilities, joy and worry that entails. It’s a big commitment because you are promising to be their family, providing them with a permanent home and unconditional love. Parenting might be tough but adoption will transform your life – and theirs. Adoption Counts will be with you every step of the way.

We encourage adoption enquiries from across the community in order to meet the needs of children who are looking to find their adoptive family.

In fact, we are particularly interested to hear from people of Black African, Black Caribbean or mixed heritage who are interested in adoption. Children of Black African or Caribbean heritage often wait a long time to find families to adopt them. We would love to give these children the opportunity to flourish in their own community – but we need your help.

We are also reaching out to families who would consider adopting a sibling group. The bonds we have with our sisters and brothers are part of what make us who we are. Help us keep children together and add to your family twice over with Adoption Counts.

If you’re interested in adoption but don’t think you’re the sort of person we’re looking for, please get in touch. Adopters aren’t superheroes, they’re just everyday people.

It doesn’t matter if you’re single, widowed, divorced or living together. Age, gender, sexual orientation, race, faith and disability don’t matter either. All families are different and all adoptive families are different too.

Please contact us if you would like to find out more about adoption with Adoption Counts.
