Snaffle a table for four at Liverpool’s Lost Lounge
LIVERPOOL’S newest venue is defo worth seeking out – Lost Lounge on Ranelagh Street is a real find. With scatter cushion window seats, low lights and flickering candles, live music and Rocco the French Bulldog, this place is made for chilling out.
It also claims to be home to the best breakfast in the city, vegan or full, with super-fresh coffee to match, loose leaf tea and freshly whizzed smoothies. The meat eaters’ offer is a real Northern Powerhouse, with two sausages, bacon, eggs your way, portobello mushroom, roasted tomato, house beans and hash brown served with a slice of toasted sourdough. That locally baked bread, mushroom, tom, beans and hash brown also feature in the plant-based option, alongside two vegan saussies, scrambled tofu, buttered spinach, hummus and avocado. That’ll keep you going.
Brunch runs to 2pm and the choices are strong on vegan and veggie – golden scrambled tofu on toast, smashed avocado on sourdough, eggs your way on a cream cheese-smothered bagel. Add-ons include halloumi and smoked salmon, and a morning menu wouldn’t be complete without a bacon or sausage butty – here on a brioche bun, for a bit of continental sass. So, why are we telling you all this? Because you and three of your besties could be filling up at Lost Lounge for free.
