THE new Manchester All Star Lanes has the potential to be that rare thing: an indoor entertainment venue that's as enjoyable for the grown-ups as for the kids.

Enter this competition to win a family day out there, including meals, drinks and a game of ten-pin bowling.

All Star Lanes is the UK's first boutique ten-pin bowling alley, restaurant and bar. It's got four hit venues in London, and chose Manchester as the first city outside the capital to launch its winning combo of good food, retro bowling, and first-class cocktails. It's set to open at The Great Northern in March.

The restaurant is inspired by the finest New York delis, steakhouses and diners. It's all cooked fresh to order and all the meat is free range and locally sourced. 

There's a kids menu with crowd-pleasing dishes such as Homemade fish fingers and fries, and Baked Mac & cheese and fresh tomato sauce. Youngsters can sip a milkshake, juice or a US-style kid's float – vanilla ice cream, topped up with your choice of soda.

Adults may prefer to experience the cocktails, which were described by Cosmopolitan as 'some of the best in town.' Food-wise, go for tasty new dishes such as the Grilled Lobster with hollandaise sauce, or Smoked Tomato & Grilled Cheese salad.

No under 18s are permitted in the venues after 6pm.
