EY UP, the students are back - and before it gets to the emptying of the ones-and-twos jar, which taxi drivers on Smithdown love so much, Liverpool ONE is staging its first ever Student Takeover.
From Monday 1 to Friday 5 October there will be music on the streets and bargains to bag in some of the coolest names on the British high street, with discounts in shops and restaurants ranging from 10-25 percent.
There is only one key to this kingdom of fabulousness - a student ID card. The rest of you, look away.
Wednesday is the big day, Juice FM DJs will perform on Paradise Street from 1pm-8pm. Stores will also hold events with live music with money-off deals, complimentary drinks, giveaways and even an opportunity to win a European city break for two.
Then, from 10pm, there will be an after party at Medication, the student clubbing experience at Nation, Wolstenholme Square.
All throughout that day and evening, Liverpool ONE will be asking students to get dressed up while it goes style spotting at both venues.
Spotters will be taking pictures of the most stylish students and projecting them onto the big screen in Medication throughout the night. They’ll also be uploaded onto the Liverpool ONE official and Medication Facebook galleries.
Those who cut a dash may experience fabulous prizes.
A Big Red Chair will also be at Liverpool ONE and at Medication where students can take a seat and tell the cameras, for YouTube, what they are going to spend their student loans on and what they love most about Liverpool.
