Waterloo sunfest at The Workshop

We’re big on seasonality at The Workshop.

That’s why when it gets hot, our food tastes cool, summery and utterly of the moment.

Summer thrill-seekers can get their flavour fix with dishes like moules marinière – full of plump juicy mussels, this is the taste of summer holidays in Brittany.

Oysters are another coastal classic with that unmistakeable taste of the sea. We shuck them and serve them au naturel – plain and simple, just the way nature intended. Perfect with a glass of fizz to start a meal.

Wild garlic gnocchi with confit cherry tomatoes, pesto and toasted pine nuts shows that summer is not just about seafood – there is plenty for vegetarians to enjoy too. It’s such a fresh, vibrant dish with a real wow factor.

And of course, there’s steak. It’s a year-round feelgood dish but there’s something about eating our steak frites with peppercorn sauce on our terrace that makes it a special summertime treat.

If that’s not enough mouth-watering midsummer action for you, we always have a fresh fish dish on the menu. We pick the best of what is landed at Southport and cook it for you. This produce is more than just seasonal – it was still swimming yesterday. What could be more suitable for summer than some beautiful British fish, caught just up the coast?

Book a table to enjoy summer your way at The Workshop.
