Our first floor restaurant serves a selection of small plates with an emphasis on fish which is caught on the local coast and then bought to plate the very same day. We use seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients to create dishes as diverse as boquerones with pickled chilli, grilled octopus with chorizo and capers, chicken liver parfait with pancetta and radish, burrata with radicchio, shallot, grapefruit and dukkah and, of course, our famous Sunday Roast.
We’re proud that our vegetarian and vegan offerings are as inspired as the rest of our menu. We hope there is something for every diet and lifestyle on our menu.
Our downstairs wine bar offers 40 different wines, all available by the glass so it’s easy to experiment with lesser known varieties as well as enjoy popular crowd-pleasers. We also serve a good collection of craft ales, our own house cocktails and we have a gin and tonic for every occasion.
You’ll also find all sorts of artisan sandwiches in our deli, from roast beef with chimichurri and a lovely ploughman’s to the Japanese-influenced pickled shitake mushroom, marinated tofu, apple and wasabi.
The Workshop has a real community feel with live music nights, a loyalty card and monthly events like A Walk & A Roast, and family-friendly activities. But even if you’re not local, The Workshop is just a short hop on the train to Waterloo then a five minute walk – perfect for building up an appetite.
