Open at the bottom of Ropewalks’ Fleet Street for nearly half a decade and delivering tasty takeaways for twice as long, Spice Thai now even has a pop-up in Baltic Market to make sure everyone gets a fair chance to try their signature steak dish Weeping Tiger, fiery and fragrant Drunken Noodles, sticky chicken satay skewers and deep-fried Popcorn Shrimps. And that’s just a selection… There’s also that delivery option, so if you can’t get to Spice Thai, Spice Thai can still get to you.
It’s also home to the signature dish Weeping Tiger: marinated sirloin steak served on a sizzling platter with veggies in oyster sauce, rice and homemade chilli jaew dip. Not hungry, not a problem – the friendly vibe and contemporary surroundings are the perfect backdrop to a drink, and owners Michael and Noon are happy to serve up their house cocktails in the bar area.
