Children will love this fantastic interactive experience complete with a picnic fit for a Mad Hatter.
Watch a lively Alice in Wonderland musical performance by Bolton Octagon Theatre, take part in fun craft activities, play croquet with the Red Queen, share a snack with Alice and sip tea with the March Hare. Each child will receive a picnic containing goodies from Slattery, Carrs Pasties and Aldi.

The Octagon is turning its theatre into a magical train platform for this year's festival. Free to enter, there will be a train, lots of railway-themed stories, and activities for all the family including face-painting and interactive songs.
The Main Auditorium will be Platform 50, the bar will be transformed into a Lost Property Office, and the Studio will become a stop at Ancient Egypt, with sand and the Nile.
To celebrate the new Eternal Egypt gallery which is being installed in Bolton Museum, Ancient Egypt is also one of the destinations at the Octagon. Bolton Library and Museum Services will be providing a River Nile for visitors to paddle in and a desert with real sand. Uncover hieroglyphics, build your own pyramids and whilst you’re there take a selfie with Tutunkhamun!
Peter Rabbit experience

Bling up your pumps

Visitors can ‘bling up’ their pumps using a unique pair of customised trainers and our Egyptology collection as inspiration. Participants can design and create a pair of pumps to take home.
