ARE you waddling around the house with a stomach too big to fit in Ryanair's excess baggage bin?
Is the gigantic bauble onesie which you recieved as a gift in a Primark bag, the only item of clothing that allows you to forget your Yueltide blubberfest - until you look in the mirror?
Time, then, to put on your Ferrero-Rocher covered trackies and head out.
Liverpool’s 13 Lifestyles Fitness Centres will be opening their doors for FREE from 2 to 4 January.
Liverpool City Council says: "Whether you’ve gained a few extra pounds over the festive season, or you’re a fitness fanatic thinking about trying something new for 2013, head to your nearest centre have a swim, try out the gym equipment or take part in a class – at no cost to you. Other than maybe a few aches and pains after your session."
Throughout the three days, staff will be on hand to give advice on leading a healthy lifestyle and how to get the most out of the fitness centres.
And it's not a bad way to find out whether you're cut out for the gym life without investing in an expensive membership first.
The old ways...Cabinet member for culture and tourism Councillor Wendy Simon, says here: “Everyone tends to eat and drink a bit more during Christmas and New Year and this free, three day access is the perfect way to kick start a healthy 2013.
“This is a great opportunity for residents – young and old - to find out what facilities are on their doorsteps and discover just how easy it is to get fit."
Both adults and children are welcome, and during the three days, booking is not necessary although places in classes will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
There is no obligation to become a Lifestyles member, they say.
