WE already know how good the grub can be at the Buyers Club, now one of its main men is embarking on a duel where the chosen weapons are whisks, pots and pans.
Daniel Heffy, head chef and co-owner of the Buyers Club will go head to head with former Albion supremo Steve Burgess in what they are calling a "culinary spectacular" on Thursday 15th September at the popular Hardman Street venue.
"The two chefs will work together to create a unique six-course menu with each curating and cooking three dishes," it says here.

The menu includes beetroot, goats curd and golden raisin, salted beef with sweetcorn, parsnip cake and something called Halen Mon Chocolate.
Diners, paying £60 a head, will vote for their favourite at the end of the evening and one chef will take the crown.
All profits will be donated to Action Against Hunger.
So far so good, however the event is a mere appetiser for Burgess's trials to come. For in October the chef, who now runs catering company Rhubarb and Custard, is packing this Thermos to join Liverpool restaurateurs Paddy Smith and Vince Margiotta for a trek across Ethiopia for the same charity.
The three amigos are among a group of restaurant and hospitality notables, from across the North West, hoping to raise over £100,000 by hiking 80km through the Simien Mountains, with altitudes of up to 4,400 metres.
Action Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger. The organisation works to save the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and good nutrition in nearly 50 countries worldwide.
Burgess said; “You can’t beat a good competition in the kitchen and being able to donate all the profits to Action Against Hunger makes it even better. It should be a fun night, with some great food in a fantastic venue. We hope to see you there!”
Tickets to the event are £60.00 plus booking fee and can be purchased online here.
