Team-building, old school style – sack race and all
THE school sports day. Even if you never won a single race, it was always more fun than sitting in a classroom all day.
Our feelings about this prize at Y Club in Castlefield are the same – i.e. it's bound to be better than whatever you normally do at work. Especially as your office sports day will include all those old-school games you've not played for years.
They'll set up the sports hall at the Y Club with a range of different challenges, including the sack race, the bean bag race, the egg and spoon race, a wheel barrow race, and a basketball shoot.
Around the hall, there'll be a climbing course with rope swings and other obstacles you can only navigate by working as a team. Points will be awarded and prizes will be won. And of course, you'll all get to relax and have a laugh away from work for an afternoon.
This competition is part of the Y Club's campaign to let people know about their corporate memberships, which give employees a 7.5% discount on normal membership fees (and help employers build a healthier workforce with higher job satisfaction). Read about them here.
