Discover some of Manchester’s best musical talent every Thursday from 8pm til’ late
It may be a relative newcomer in the Manchester music stakes, but Albert Square Chop Houses’ open mic night is fast drawing attention. With a line-up of quality local acts and the inimitable ambience of a listed Memorial Hall, Thursday evenings at this Victorian institution are a treat indeed.
From 8pm til late, enjoy performances from an electric range of local musicians - spanning indie to blues, folk to instrumental and everything in between. Think you’ve got what it takes? You can even join in yourself.
What’s more, entry is completely free.
It’s not just music of a high standard you’ll find either. From cask-conditioned local ales to guest beers and Manchester’s biggest list of wine by the glass, the drinks menu embraces quality and quantity with gusto.
Evenings are also a great excuse to try the bitesize bar food menu: small but perfectly formed classics like scampi in a basket, ‘Dingley Dell’ sausage roll and toad in the hole.
Our advice? Grab a bite and a beverage, then kick back and enjoy the music.
