Volta: Shining A Light On What Neighbourhood Dining Should Be

20170215 Flat Iron Steak 1 High Res

Relaxed, informal, friendly but with mind-blowingly good food – award winning Volta is everything you could want from a local hang-out.

Less formal than a restaurant but much more than a bar, Volta feels like a home from home, somewhere you want to while away your time.

Volta is a place that welcomes you from brunch time right up until late night drinking time.

From seriously good coffees and freshly made cakes to get you through the working day to our wide and well-crafted array of small plates.

The food is inspired by the travels of the owners & DJs, The Unabombers, and also the food they have missed from when being on the road – our legendary Sunday Roasts are always a massive hit.

Volta’s dishes are just simple great-tasting food that make you feel wonderful. Think lamb shawarma with harissa and yoghurt that's packed full of flavour or signature small plates like fig & halloumi, milk fed pork shoulder and beer-battered monkfish goujons with tarragon mayo.

We love Volta. It's exactly the sort of place we'd choose to go ourselves. But don't just take our word for it. They won City Life Restaurant of the Year in 2014 and Casual Dining Venue of the Year at Manchester Food and Drink awards 2016.

So take a break from the city and head to Burton Road in West Didsbury.

Please be aware that Volta keep two thirds of our tables for walk-ins so feel free to turn up, grab a drink at the bar and they'll do our best to seat you.
