From breakfast through to dinner, the menu offers tasty and healthy cuisine at authentic Middle-Eastern restaurant Comptoir Libanais.
Using Lebanese ingredients, the meals are as colourful as the brightly decorated Spinningfields restaurant. From mezze to man’ousha (cheese, meat and vegetable topped Lebanese flatbread), and from tabbouleh to tagines, there is plenty of choice. The friendly team will help guide you through the menu and help you pick the perfect dish for you.
The meat platters are fresh from the grill, giving them flavour as well as a healthier cooking option, and vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are also plentiful. Dashing between dates or desk? You can choose to take away if you like – the wraps are ideal for lunchtime. Having more of a laid-back day? Why not treat yourself to some afternoon cake or baklawa, with a fresh coffee or the special spiced and steamed hot chocolate infused with cinnamon and tahini sprinkled with halva.
Come with friends, or come with the family – kids are welcome, with their own special menu, plus a colouring pack and balloons to keep them entertained.
And you are welcome to pop in just for a drink in the bar area – there’s an extensive beer and spirits menu, and you can pick by the glass or the bottle from the wine list, which includes speciality wines from Lebanon. There are also a great variety of cocktails. Comptoir Libanais also has a sheltered outside space, where you can enjoy shisha, and a private room for parties or meetings.
Last but not least you can browse the souk ‘market’ to pick up a gift, or difficult-to-come-by Lebanese ingredients like zaatar and other spices, speciality teas and bespoke Middle-Eastern crockery, as well as hand-made Moroccan bags.
