EATING and drinking in the confines of a tent may not sound like the most obvious way to spend a December day, but head to Chavasse Park and you won't get into a flap.
The Club House has put up a Marvellous Marquee - and while it's not exactly chestnuts roasting on an open fire (that would be dangerous) it is hanging turkey kebabs, hog dinners and winter warmer beverages.
Set in the grounds of the New England-style bar/restaurant, punters can choose to "celebrate the festive season in a venue that encapsulates the true spirit of winter in the Hamptons".
Of course it's heated, and to keep the chills at bay there are hot gin toddies and campfire s'mores.
The Club House is also serving fresh tank beer.
