Special offers, rum deals, plenty to see and do

THERE’S never a dull moment at The Pen and Pencil, and we have some great offers and events to whet your whistle on the Bank Holiday weekend and beyond.

Bottomless Brunch is go not once but twice, with the chance to eat and drink as much as you fancy on Saturday 27 May, 10am-1pm, and Sunday 28 May, 2-5pm. From Avocado and Feta and classic Eggs Benedict, to Pen and Pencil Burger and American Pancakes with Berries and Bacon, we reckon you’ll find something to get your teeth into. And it’s not only the food that’s free-flowing – take your pick from Bloody Marys, Mimosas, Prosecco and Amstel. There’s always more if you want it! Bottomless Brunch is just £40 per person so be sure to book in advance.

Stick around after brunch and join the Courteneers Pre-show Party, from 1pm on Saturday 27 May. There’ll be an exclusive indie set from DJ Sam Flanagan and special offers if you show your gig ticket: spirits and mixers are just £3 and there’s 25% off food. Coming up we have more pre-show parties on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 June, with DJ sets from Damien Johnstone and Jamie Bull. Show your Robbie ticket and get our deals.

To continue our celebrations of the Bank Holiday, on Sunday we’re putting on a free bash, with Back To The Hip-hop courtesy DJ Brooks, 7pm-1am – the perfect excuse to extend your weekend – then it’s party-time again the following Saturday, 3 June. We’ll be putting the “rum” in “brumch” for the first-ever Manchester Rum Festival, with finger-licking Caribbean food specials – a Rum and Pineapple BBQ Chicken Burger, and Rum and Raisin Pancakes – plus two brand-new rum cocktails and Soca music for a proper knees-up.

Partied out? Join us for our new Craft and Cocktail Night on Wednesday 21 June. We’ll be quaffing some special concoctions while learning all about making our own jewellery making – just £15 all-in.
